When students come to class with reading and writing difficulties compounded by executive function delays, teachers are often at a loss as to what to do. This practical institute will provide techniques for diagnosing the root cause of such problems as poor memory, lack of organization, and impulse control. Learn ways support students with executive function delays; practice designing a three-pronged intervention approach that involves students, teachers and parents; and learn simple and effective tools to gather data that tracks student progress. You will leave with a variety engaging interventions that support and encourage learners who can’t seem to focus, get their work in on time, or sustain motivation.
